American Ambulance and Medical
The Norton-Harjes American Volunteer Ambulance service was
associated with the Red Cross. Many of its ambulances were Model T Fords. They were shipped to Europe not fully assembled, in wooden boxes. Upon final assembly of the vehicle, the box was then converted into the ambulance body. (American Field Service).
